I have added a few extra models to the scene just to fill out the space a little more, and I have tweaked the inventory system a little just so that it appears above the first aid kit. I haven&#8217;t fixed the issues with the system yet but I need to code some scenarios before I do as they take priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"438\" src=\"https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-1-300x128.png 300w, https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-1-768x329.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the assets used have an LOD Group component which controls the distance at which they render for the camera, hence the image above seems a little emptier than it actually is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"969\" height=\"528\" src=\"https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2.png 969w, https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/firstyearvr.myblog.arts.ac.uk\/files\/2021\/06\/image-2-768x418.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 969px) 100vw, 969px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For now the items are scattered next to the first aid kit just so I have the models in the scene to program events for, and so those events can be tested without the inventory system working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have also added an ambisonic sound for the waves (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/library.soundfield.com\/track\/115\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/library.soundfield.com\/track\/115<\/a>) but it isn&#8217;t working like I would hope. The sound comes from the transform point of the object, so adding it to a 10&#215;10 plane means the sound comes from the center point of the plane. I have added the sound to each water plane (6 total) to help negate that problem a little, but it is still there.
